Nero Scout is a small program that comes along with the recent versions of the Nero, popular CD/DVD burning software. Basically it’s a tool that facilitates in cataloging several media & images files for easy indexing. These are just unnecessary Windows applications that we don’t generally use .To Uninstall nero Scout you have to first know about the 3 background processes that are running on your machine that starts automatically with Nero at windows startup. These are:

* NMBgMonitor.exe
* NMIndexingService.exe
* NMIndexStoreSvr.exe

These three services are automatically installed when you install Nero Scout, a utility program of Nero Burning ROM. To disable Nero scout just follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Go to Start and scroll down to All Programs.

Step 2: Find Nero and move your mouse over it to show sub menus.

Step 3: Navigate to Nero Toolkit menu and choose Nero Scout. This will show the Nero Scout Options window.

Step 4: From here you can Uncheck Enable Nero Scout & click OK to confirm selection.

This will immediately terminate all the services except for NMIndexingService.exe which will be erased after rebooting your pc.

Nero scout is a major system hog that will just suck away your systems resources. Fortunately with the Nero interface it’s easy to disable inbuilt utilities though the instructions on the support site of Nero is of no use.
