Norton antivirus is very popular antivirus software and is used widely by users all around the world because of its high efficiency for virus detection by various techniques. Step 1:
Click on start at the bottom left of your desktop. Select the “control panel” tab. This will open the “control panel” window.

Step 2:
Now look for the icon labeled “uninstall/install” in Vista or “add or remove programs.” In XP. Double click on the icon to view the installed programs list.

Step 3:
Scroll down to find “Norton Antivirus” I the indexed list of installed programs. Double click over “Norton Antivirus” to start the un-installation process.

Step 4:
A confirmation notice will appear with and alert window showing “yes” & “no” options. Click on “yes” button to confirm and proceed with the un-installation process.

Step 5:
After the un-installation process it is recommended to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. An automatic alert window may popup alerting you to restart. Click on “Restart Now.” To restart your PC immediately.

So you see uninstalling norton is not that difficult, though you should reboot your computer after uninstallation and make sure you delete files leftover files manually. If you have removed trial version, you may have to clean the registry too.
