Upgrade XBox 360 Hard Drive
If you are addicted to Xbox then it is quite possible that you will look to upgrade your XBox 360 hard drive to a higher one. You can upgrade it in few minutes and without any problem. Few days back, we discussed about how to upgrade PS3 hard drive, but it’s little different. In order to upgrade your Xbox 360 hard drive, the most important part is backup all data from the old hard drive to the new one. It’s very easy just follow the steps below.
Before upgrading you Xbox 360 hard drive keep following tools within your reach …
- Data transfer cable
- Data transfer disc
Now just follow the steps below
- First of all purchase a compatible hard drive for your Xbox 360.
- Now switch off your Xbox game console and unpack the new hard drive.
- Remove the external cover of the Xbox console and turn it on.
- Take one end of the data transfer cable and plug in to the new hard drive and plug another end into the USB port at the back of the Xbox console. You can find this data transfer cable with the data transfer kit.
- Now insert the hard drive transfer disc in the disc of you Xbox 360 console and load it. This disc comes with every Xbox 360 hard disk. So, confirm it while purchasing.
- After this the data transfer process will take place from the old hard drive to the newly purchase one. You need to wait for few minutes to complete the transfer process.
- Now when the data transfer is done switch off the Xbox console and disconnect the data transfer cable from both USB port and the new hard drive. Now turn the console on and remove the data transfer disc.
- You are done, just switch off your Xbox 360 and remove the old hard drive and insert the new one and enjoy more games with higher capacity.
