Vlogging is blogging in the form of videos, also known as vodcasting. It is next generation of expressing yourself over the internet.  Everybody knows about wordpress and blogger, two popular text blogging sites. But now we can use videos for a better way of expression. They say, “Pictures say a thousand words”, I say video blogging surpasses that by far. Video blogs are fed through RSS. Video Bloggers use embedded video or a video link with relevant text, images, and other information.

Today on the internet almost all the blogs provide syndicated feed contents, be it through RSS or Atom feeds. Some feed providers have “enclosures.” It is within these enclosures that the video portion of any given video cast is provided. Vlogger s practice this to attach a video to RSS and Atom enclosures.

Video blogs use this feature of  web syndication service providers to for the distribution of video over the web  using either one of the RSS or Atom feed data format, for collection and & playback on portable devices like mobile phones  and pda’s which have access to the internet &  personal computers.

YouTube is the most popular video sharing site ever since video blogging started. It was, founded on February 2005 & was publicly launched after August 2005, and since then it never looked back. The British Broadcasting Corporation launched its first official video blog in October 2006.There are various  open source content management systems which enable posting of video content that allows bloggers to host  and administrate their own video blogs. Today with the advancement of technology mobile devices with cameras allow publishing of video content over the Web directly.

On the web things are static unlike the television where everything is moving. Video blogs adds that essence to the web world .Though it has its own downside like high bandwidth consumption so users with a slow dialup don’t have a good experience. If you need to record your own video then you need a webcam or digital camera with microphone, thus there are some hardware constrains as well for those who want to start video blogging.
