   Are you sure windows vista saaves files in that folder ? Where does it saves in windows XP ?

   well this is where I found my temp files. In Windows XP, the temp folder is in c:\documents and settings\user name\temp

   I haven’t used XP for some time but the path should be correct.

   Windows stores temp files in either of 2 locations.
   The system temp folder is usually:
   C:\WINDOWS\TEMP in Vista and XP
   C:\WINNT\TEMP in Windows 2000

   The user temp folder (where most junk collects) is usually:
   C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp in 2000 and XP
   C:\USERS\username\AppData\Local\Temp in Vista

   Some of these folder(s) are hidden by default. To find or verify the temp file location:

   XP/2000:
   Right click on My Computer and choose Properties.
   Click the Advanced Tab
   Click on “Environment Variables”
   User temp file settings are at the top, system settings are at the bottom.

   Vista:
   Click the start button
   Right click on Computer and choose Properties.
   Click on “Advanced System Settings” on the left side of the screen.
   Click on “Environment Variables”
   User temp file settings are at the top, system settings are at the bottom.
