Why I uses Partial RSS feed over Full RSS Feed ?
Right from the start of this blog, I am using partial RSS feed and though lot of professional bloggers switch from partial feed to full feed once they get established, I am very much fine with showing partial feed. Here is my reasoning why I prefers partial feed over full rss feed and why you too should stick to partial feed too -
1. if you have a new blog, there is good chance of people stealing your content and outranking you in Google due to their authority. Sites like zimbio are very much based on rss feeds only and I have seen the same content on zimbio outranking the original content, which is a real shame.
2. I want my readers to come to my site – I make money from blogging and it is important for me that my readers come to my blog, it may sound little egoistical but this is the truth. I don’t have big feed count so to me it don’t matter much but for people having four figures feed readers count and more, for them it can be a difference of losing 10% of page views and may be 10% earnings too. It ofcourse depends on you and what kind of readers you have and what kind of blog you have. I know many marketers offer full feeds because for them it doesn’t matter their readers read their content on the blog or on feed reader. But if you are using CPC and CPM ads, you may want to bring your readers to your blog.
3. Ads on feeds don’t work – on MWolk, the feed do makes decent money (this is not blog feed but proxy feed) as the feed subscribers are not tech savvy, the day I feel like I am not making any money from RSS feeds ads, I will stop showing them, but most often ads on feeds don’t work so if you are thinking that “let me show full feed and use ads”, most likely it won’t work for you.
4. Some people do like Partial feeds – This is true, some people do like partial feeds over full feed as feeds with teasers are easier to browse and if you have lot of updates on your blog (like i post 30 posts in a week), its good to offer partial feeds only.
So these were my reasons (or excuses) of not using full feed, if you think the same or feel otherwise, please share your thoughts as comments.

Came across this while looking for full-text RSS feed for dailytech.com
Fuck you, buddy! Unless I can’t read full article in my Google Reader (especially on the iPhone) I will either find a full feed or unsubscribe. I won’t bother loading all the ads and shit just to read something.
So fuck you and fuck your reasoning!
