YouTube has just changed the way it displays related videos and now the topmost video in related videos block is going to be Featured video, most likely a video for which Google is getting paid to show.

Now I am not sure it is such a great idea specially if the Featured video is not very related to the video being watched right now. For example if see below, the featured video look out of place.

These featured videos can be a new way for YouTube to get more views for videos for which Google gets money and there is nothing wrong in trying to find more such ways for Google as long as it is not affecting user experience. Lets see if this is implemented on all videos or just on selected videos.
