Http proxy can block cookies, scripts, ads, pop ups, images, etc. An Http proxy can be configured for data filter, search filter, content filter, IP address filter, geography filter, etc. These features allow you to securely transfer data, images, Chat, video conference, upload videos, IM friends, etc.

One important use of Http proxy is to unblock or access restricted websites. Most organizations ban employees from accessing websites because they eat bandwidth (reduce network performance) and decrease productivity (low quality time). These websites can be accessed by http proxy because it fakes the connection. Http proxy connection can be blocked by employing a data filter or content filter. When you access a certain website a proxy server will read the contents of the website and allows you if you meet the criteria present in the configuration manual.

Http proxy can offer you a secured proxy connection because it makes you anonymous. Http proxy combined with ssl proxy connection can make your data secured. Person behind the proxy server can still access your information.
