Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) formed by the Govt. of Bihar which is controlled by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act. 1995. Each year the board conducts examination for admission to Graduate Vocational Courses in Engineering, Medical and Agriculture which is known as Bihar Combined Competitive Entrance Examinations or BCECE.

Also Post Graduate Medical Admission Test or PGMAT conducted each year by the board for admission to PG Medical Courses in different Medical Colleges of Bihar. The board also conducts entrance examination for different Certificate courses of Industrial Training Institutes of Bihar state through Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. Students from other states can also get admission as per the state quota rule. There is a special reservation for S.C., S.T., Backward Class and Armed Personnel, details is mentioned on the prospectus.

The BCECE 2009 (First Stage) Result and PGMAT 2009 Result announced and students can get their result from the BCECEB website. Students are admitted directly in various colleges during the first counseling and followed by second and third counseling (if required). Student will be called to attend the counseling according to the secured score.

In general schedule for different courses as follows (but always check the board website for specific date and timing) -

Distribution of Application Form – Mid February to mid March
Final Date for Form Submission – Mid March
1st Stage Entrance – Mid-April
2nd Stage Entrance – Early June
