Sensex Jumps by 2000 Points in response to UPA win - Market Closed for rest of the Day
Indian stock market today saw a historic day with gain of over 2100 points in matter of hours and eventually trading had to stopped for the rest of the day. This 2100 points rise is the highest even in indian stock market history thanks the UPA government getting clear majority in recent lok sabha polls.
This huge thumbs up for government also implies how unwanted left was in business circuits. I had always felt that left parties are not good for the nation specially if they are running the nation as they work very passively and have problem with pretty much everything due to their ideology. Anyway the chances are, with BJP losing and left doing very badly, its the end of regional parties and communal politics in India which is a great sign for the nation. If India need to move with rapid pace, we need stable government for 5 years runned by one party only with no involvement of left parties, and this is what market wanted and this is what they got. I am expecting it to go even higher before bears start shorting it.
Google Adsense India FAQ
Plenty of Indians are using adsense to make money online from their websites and blogs so I felt to write down a beginners FAQ for Indian people who are still new to adsense and are wondering how things works.
Q. When will I get my PIN number ?
A. It takes normally 3 to 5 weeks for checks to reach you. Google send the PIN to confirm your address and if you are living in some distant place in India, say rural places where the postal service is not that good, you may never the the PIN. If you don’t get the PIN in 8 weeks, change your address to your relatives address and contact google again reissuing the PIN.
Best Fixed Deposit Account among HDFC, ICICI, SBI
If you are looking to make a fixed deposit account in bank like HDFC, ICICI or any other private or even public banks like SBI, you may like to think twice as the current interest rates are around 8% as compared to 10% previous year. Also with the interest coming under tax deduction, this whole putting money in fixed deposit thing don’t’ make lot of sense, you may be better of investing money in real estate right now as prices are low and you can get good deal currently.
Anyway if you still want to open a fixed deposit bank account, I will advice you to go with HDFC bank because they are the once offering highest interest rates of 8.25% per year. ICICI is offering around 8% interest rate but the premature withdrawal fine is alot less in HDFC as compared to ICICI.
