Lasik Eye Surgery in India

My eyesight vision is very bad, it is like -8 in one eye and -6 in another and being 25 year old, I was thinking of going to lasik eye surgery. Now i have consulted eye doctors in the past and since my number is very much same and hasn’t gone up, I feels I can wait for few years as the technology is getting advanced every year with better and better options coming in eye surgeries.

Lasik is absolutely painless and takes less then a minute to do as they cut the cornea. It Costs around 15k to 20k rupees and you can immediately start seeing well. EPI-LASIK on the other hand is more advanced and takes about 5 minutes to get over. EPI is considered to be more safe as it do not need any cutting of cornea. Though from whatever I have seen, the risk involved in any kind of surgery is minimum as doctors will first make sure your are the right candidate for the operation or not. If they feels that you are not, then they won’t perform the operation. Infact I may get rejected as my cornea is somewhat damaged, that’s why I feels I can wait for few years.

I do have decent knowledge about lasik and other eye surgeries but it will be good if you consult eye specialists about this and more importantly people who have gone through these surgeries. Find the best doctors and get the best option for you and don’t try to save ten or twenty thousand rupees :)
