Airtel has started a price war on Indian broadband space (price wars are always good, remember 2001 with reliance monsoon hungama!)

1 Mbps surfing speeds from Airtel will cost Rs. 1,699 per month
512Kbps surfing plan will now cost Rs. 1,099

There is also 12.5% tax so the effective rate will be Rs 1900 for 1 Mbps and 1250 for 512 kbps which are very cheap.

BSNL, Reliance and MTNL also about to follow the same and will be cutting down their prices by 30%. This is a great news as with cheaper broadband people can afford broadband and that too the bigger plan with no upload and download limit, I think we all have enough of the BSNL Rs 250 , 1 GB download limit plan,
