I was just looking to see which of .co.in or .in tld (top level domain) is more popular among Indian websites and it looks though earlier it was .co.in which was popular, now most of the indian sites perfer .IN as top level domain.

But this post is not about that, this post is about domainers registering allmost all good combinations of .IN domains which are strictly meant for Indians only. No matter what the domain you come up with, the chances are its already taken.

I am seeing Humsurfer for over 3 years now and it seems to be ranking for almost everything in search engine thanks to its age and google algorithm. Now the problem with humsurfer is, its juat a spam aggregator of news items, most of them not even related to india.

It has couple of million pages in Google and there is absolutely no useful information on the site, since it has no community whatsoever. People submit the pages to it which makes for probably 10% of its total pages, the rest are automated rss feeds pulling.

Rumors are spreading that Shahrukh khan may sell his stake of Kolkata Knight Riders after teams very poor performance in second season. KKR as popularly known has lost 4 out of 6 matches they have played and their chances of making into semifinals of IPL are very less.

The poor on field performance of Kolkata Knight Riders is not the only reason why Shahrukh may sell his stake in it as the team is continuously making headlines for all wrong reasons. Yahoo India seems to be feeling the heat of current financial problems in yahoo as they have lay off 60 yahoo India employees. Though I don’t think they were from technical background, infact yahoo India is very positive about its development work that is going on in India and are looking for hire more people in coming months, about 150 techies.

Do note that yahoo has announced that they will be looking to lay off 5% of their global workforce to reduce the expenses. Yahoo is currently having serious financial problems with less people spending money on advertising as yahoo reported 78% decline in its earnings.

Pinkvilla is an Indian gossip site, bollywood wallpapers and forum site which talks about bollywood actors, page 3 celebs and everything related to gossip.

Pinkvilla is mostly for wallpapers though as looking for its community and forum, I didn’t found anything in it, so as expected it pulls most of its traffic from bollwood star wallpapers. It also has a news section where they put news stories.
