As much as it sucks, Indians were outplayed in both of their matches by west indies and England. There can be plenty of reasons for them going out, poor fielding and not able to handle short pitch has to be the primary reason for this though.

Here are 5 reasons why India is out of T20 world cup -

1. Can’t play short balls - Suresh raina and almost everyone else struggled against short balls.

2. Poor Fielding - the ground fielding was well below par. I didn’t saw the match fully but yuvaraj singh and zaheer surely missed few sitters.

3. Some Poor Captaincy Decisions - Dhoni got many decisions wrong in the match against england like sending ravinder jadeja,

4. Poor bowling by Ishant Sharma throughout the tournament, he doesn’t look like a T20 Bowler at all, he bowls short, wide and everywhere, just like a typical indian bowler of 80s and 90s. Compared to him, RP Singh looks much better bowler in terms of control.

5. This is 20-20 afterall - well this is T20 afterall and this is how things goes. The margin of winning can be very less and 3 runs or 1 ball makes the difference, so there is really nothing to get disappointed, South africa looked to the best team of the tournament and most likely will go on to win the tournament too.
