Tata Photon - Bringing the World Closer
Recently, Tata Indicom launched Tata Photon Plus, a wireless broadband service that is way ahead of its time. By just inserting a small, sleek USB Modem you can browse the internet at the speed of 3.1 Mbps. The good thing about USB modem is that it can be used both in the laptop and desktop; all you are required to do is to insert it in the USB port.
Another important feature of Tata Photon is that it works well all across India, at home, office, airport, taxi, and even in trains. Where ever there is a network of Tata Indicom, you will be able to use this wireless broadband service. The tariff plan of this service is also equally good, for Rs. 500 a month you can download 1GB and for Rs. 799 a month you can use the internet as much as you like. The online payment facility further makes the service trouble free.
The only drawback of Tata Photon is its price. Although the advertisements state the price as Rs. 1999, but in reality the initial activation charge piles up to Rs. 3500, which is bit too much. Furthermore, at times, the service slows down to such an extent that it become really frustrating to upload or download a simple webpage. All in all, it is a good service for those who travel frequently and use internet only for checking mails and causally browsing the web.
