Trains from Delhi to other Big Cities of India

In case you are in delhi, and wants to know the major trains to other big cities without using IRCTC website, Delhi has 4 railways stations namely Delhi railway station, New Delhi railway station, Hazart Nizamuddin railway station and Sarai Rohilla railway station.

From the Delhi junction railway station trains from Delhi go in three different directions; one is towards east that is Uttar Pradesh side, the second is towards west that is Rohtak side, and the third is towards north that is Haryana side. Also called old Delhi railway station, this station was build by British India and it complements New Delhi railway station. From old Delhi railway station you can easily find trains from Delhi to Lucknow and trains from Delhi to Kanpur.

New Delhi railway station is the main station of Delhi. Each day, it send and receives 300 trains from its 18 platform. Mostly trains that go towards the north or east direction originate from this station. Important trains from Delhi to Patna, trains from Delhi to Nagpur and trains from Delhi to Pune can be obtained from this station.

Near Hazart Nizamuddin shrine is the Nizamuddin railway station. The two important roads of Delhi, Ring road and Mathura road run close to the station. Trains from Delhi to Surat, trains from Delhi to Indore and trains from Delhi to Bhopal can be accessed from this station.

The last, Sarai Rohilla railways station is a small station that is basically meant for metre gauge trains. During the Mughal era, this site was used as a sarai or resting place.
